Meet your stylist

A studio of one.

Solo, by appointment, with time to do the work right. Same hands every visit, so your history is remembered, not relearned.

I started doing hair because I loved the way a good cut could change how a person carried themselves. Confidence is half the work, and confidence comes from being seen: both as you are and as you might become.

Licensed since 2018, fully solo since 2022. I left the multi-stylist salon model because the alternative was rushing, and rushed work is bad work. The studio sees four to five clients on a good day. That's the point.

The work spans cuts, color, care, and consultation. Most of my clients come in every six to twelve weeks; I remember the last color formula, the last cut shape, and what we said we'd try next time.

Outside the studio: reading, walking, occasional travel. Family is at the center of everything. The studio reflects that: small, deliberate, personal.

The path

A practice, in stages.

2018
Cosmetology license
Trained at the local academy. Started at a four-chair salon downtown.
2020
Color specialist training
Advanced course in color theory, formulation, and corrective work.
2021
Continuing education
Took every advanced cutting course the city offered. Found a voice.
2022
Solo studio opens
Took the leap into a one-chair studio. Appointment-only from day one.
Today
Steady chair
A small list of regulars; new clients welcomed by consultation.
Off the clock

Reading, mostly.

When I'm not at the chair I'm usually reading, walking, or planning a trip I half-finish booking. The studio is the loudest room in my week; the rest is quiet on purpose.
